John and Savannah have started dating since the last scene, when they were at the construction site. John has just left to go back into the army he is stationed in Germany hes not coming back for at least a year and keeps getting visits he and Savannah write, email and talk on the phone as much as possible talking about the different things they have been doing such as Savannah helping with the construction of building homes and Johns time traveling through countrys fighting for his country. John soons comes back meets Savannah at the airport they are extreamly excited to see each other. They first go to stay with Savannahs parents its the first time for John meeting them it all goes well. John then starts staying with Savannah in her apartment. Savannah is first scared to sleep with John and wants him to sleep on the couch. They soon start fighting because John only has so much time home and has to leave. And Savannah has been spending all her time with her friends. John gets upset bacause he was expecting to spend all the time with just him and her. They both are mad at each other and leave each other alone for the day John later comes home and they apoligize to each other. She then wants to get more serious with John and they began to have sex and then became comfortable enough to sleep with each other.

The next day john and Savannah went surfing agian. They were having a good time together as they did all the other times. She then had started looking out into the ocean where others were surfing she had seen Porpoises riding the waves. They then started back to the car and were deciding what they would do that night he was going to take her to the showing of the USS North Carolina it was a large ship. She that it would be boring though and she said she had a place to go but it was a secret. They started driving while she was giving directions on where to go. They had showed up at the construction site that shes been working at. She wanted to show him everything they had acomplished. They started walking through the house that was half build the wind was picking up and it had started to rain. Then John and Savannah decided to sit down and start talking about if each other ever had a love life and really cared about another. She started telling him about her college days and she had thought she was in love with a boy he was a big time guy in school they had went to the winter formal together and later after went to a hotel party with other friends he had brought her a drink and after a while she started feeling woozy. He then started touching her and taking her cloths and she wanted him off but couldnt get him off cause he was too heavy. she coldnt really talk cause of the drug he had put in her drink. her other friends had tehn came in the room and he stopped. She left the room crying and called a friend to come pick her up and had never told anybody about this before. John had understood what she felt and she was very upset they started to get closer and holding each other as the storm was still going on.

Before John had went home Savannah had reminded him that he told her he would teach her how to surf when ever she had wanted so she decided she would like to go in the morning. The next morning John had went down to meet Savannah she was sitting on the back porch near the bonfire from the night before. They started walking down to the water John had got right in with no problem savannah had first stuck her feet in and it was too cold she said the water kept splashing up at her. John kept giggling at her and tells her to just get in all at once and it will feel better, So she did. John had started teaching her how to paddle out on the surf board after she had got on to her belly. She started going and got right up and rode the wave all the way back to the shore. John was extreamly suprised at how well she did. John had not known but Savannah then mentioned to him that she had taking gymnastics and she had very good balance from it. They had then started walking back to the house when they got there Savannah had went inside to change from the wet suit she was wearing, John had waited on the back porch for her when she had came out she was carrying 2 cups of coffee she sat down and they then started talking and laughing together.

Dear John

After John jumped into the water Savannah had walked down to meet him when he had her bag.She had thanked John many times for jumping into the water to get her bag and wanted to reward him but he did not want any reward. When she met him her friends randy,Brad and Susan were with her. Instead she decided to ask John if he would like to join there cookout there were having that night. He joined them and sat on the beach talking to Savannah getting to know her he realized that he was starting to like her. Her friend Randy started to get into the conversation and Savannah and John ignored him Randy started getting upset and left the bonfire and went back to the house he noticed that Savannah was beggining to like John and Randy has a crush on Savannah. After words Savannah and John start to walk on the beach he realizes its starting to get late but his house is far from hers so she asked her friend tim if he would mind giving him a ride so John said his goodbyes to Savannah and went to meet Tim at the car.
